Buffalo Wild Wings® knows that dining out in a restaurant with family members can create positive memories that foster a healthy upbringing for children. But this is only one aspect of a well-rounded childhood. In an effort to help provide the resources children need to excel in school, sports, and their communities, they’ve partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. With many locations throughout the New England area, including Danbury and Stamford, CT, Buffalo Wild Wings is here to explain more about why this organization is so important to them.

What Is the Boys & Girls Club of America?

Boys & Girls Club of America has divisions all across the United States, including small towns and large communities. They provide programs where children can engage in fun and constructive activities, such as sports and recreation, education, and career development. Programs are divided into age groups so youths can gain the skills they need and enjoy healthy outlets at every phase of childhood and young adulthood.

In addition to sports and recreation, career development, and educational programs, there are also clubs tailored to the arts, where children can cultivate their creative abilities through music, photography, acting, and fine arts. Character and leadership clubs and health and wellness programs are available as well.

How Is the Restaurant Getting Involved?

restaurantBuffalo Wild Wings has made it its mission to provide team sports for children who need it most. They support sports team programming through a program called ALL STARS, which raises funds that will go to jerseys, coach training, equipment, and facilities renovations for more than 350 leagues across the nation. In 2016, Buffalo Wild Wings donated $4.1 million to fund ALL STARS grants across the U.S.; by 2020, they aim to donate more than $17 million to local chapters of Boys & Girls Clubs.

Restaurant patrons who wish to participate can do so by simply purchasing a sauce or seasoning bottle. For each bottle purchased, $1 will go toward the ALL STARS grant for U.S. Boys & Girls Clubs.
