Summer Family Activities at Waimea Valley

Moon Walk & Dinner

family activitiesDuring each full moon of the season, Waimea Valley is hosting a celebratory Moon Walk and dinner buffet. Tickets for the buffet, catered by Ke Nui Kitchen at the Proud Peacock, includes admission to the Moon Walk. This event will give you the unique opportunity to spend a couple of hours experiencing the Valley after dark while learning about the significance of the Hawaiian lunar phases.

Farmers’ Market

The Hale‘iwa Farmer’s Market is held every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the summer entire season. Here you can appreciate local art, listen to live music, and sample delicious local food and drink.

Screen on the Green

Screen on the Green is an outdoor summer movie series that kicks off on May 31st with a screening of Disney’s Coco after the Farmers’ Market. Families can watch free movies together every Thursday at 7:15 p.m. from May 31- July 19th. Bring a blanket, low chairs, or pillows to make yourself comfortable on the lawn. Don’t forget to stop by the Farmers’ Market for snacks and drinks before the movie.

Concert Series

For those who want to partake in Hawaii’s musical culture, the Waimea Valley Summer Concert Series offers everything you’re looking for. At festivities hosted on June 30, July 28, and August 25, families can celebrate Hawaiian music and dance with the help of celebrity Hawaii radio hosts, Da Kolohe Krew.
