People v. L.J. (Yates Co., 4/18).

Mr. Corletta resolved an “Interlock” violation with a high BAC, with a mere 3 month extension of the Interlock requirement in People v. L.J. (Yates Co., 4/18).

In this case, an Interlock violation was filed against the client in a rural town Court, known for strict enforcement. The client was on a Conditional Discharge on a DWI conviction, and was prohibited from consuming alcohol. Mr. Corletta was able to demonstrate that his client had mental health issues sue to prior military service and was placed on medication that caused the client to crave alcohol. Mr. Corletta produced proof from the client's treating therapist. As a result, the client, who faced a potential jail sentence on this violation, was given a mere extension of Interlock requirement for 3 months. The client was extremely grateful.
