Ventilator Training

At J & D Ultracare we are committed to providing the most current continuing education for our HOME CARE NURSES!   We successfully train our nursing staff that are interested to work with our patients who require home ventilator care.  We have designed a 2 part course with home study plus completion of a pre-test prior to the scheduled 4 hour class.

The home study packet contains information about the current home care ventilators and respiratory equipment for skilled nursing care.  The class is taught by the Nurse Educator and is a comprehensive review of key concepts for providing competent ventilator care with an emphasis on the medically fragile child.  It also gives the Nurse hands-on experience with 2 ventilators and various respiratory equipment under the instruction of a Respiratory Therapist.  The class also works through case scenarios to reinforce information learned in class and a post-test to follow.
