2. Do Drink Water

Water benefits many parts of your body, including your back. The spinal discs are mostly made up of this liquid, and staying hydrated increases their flexibility. Aim to drink about eight glasses of water every day.

3. Don’t Skimp on Protein

Protein helps repair damaged muscles and tissues in the back, so it’s important to include this nutrient in your diet. If you are a vegetarian, you can still get plenty of it. Some of the best meatless protein sources include lentils, edamame, peanut butter, and Chia seeds.

4. Don’t Drink Just Any Beverages

Certain beverages can be rough on your back, so it’s important to be careful about what you drink. Soda, for example, can reduce your body’s ability to absorb nutrients that increase bone strength, while alcoholic beverages can make it difficult for your body to absorb calcium. Try to limit your consumption of these.
