CAP’s Gala on Saturday, November 18th at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT was a rousing success. Four hundred and thirty people enjoyed a fun-filled evening complete with a lively band and dancing, hilarious comedian, silent auction, and a touching video of CAP members depicting what is to live life with Parkinson’s. The evening brought together a community of courageous individuals with truly inspiring stories of courage, fortitude, and hope.

Hope is much more than a feeling. It is a state of mind, a perspective. It is being interactive with your physician about the care you receive.  Hope is about exercising and eating right. Hope is about education, being well-informed, creating awareness about Parkinson’s disease, and engaging in advocacy. Hope is about believing that we can all make a difference.

Currently, there are a number of new and exciting therapeutic strategies in clinical trials. With the help of the patient community's active involvement, the extraordinary potential to advance Parkinson's research truly exists. When a “Cure” for Parkinson’s is discovered, and one day it will be, it will because of all of us in the Parkinson’s community working together!

I would like to wish you and your family a happy and healthy holiday season.  Please remain hopeful, as I know a cure is just over the horizon.

If you have Parkinson’s and CAP can help you in any way this holiday season or any time of the year, please email or give me a call.  CAP is here to serve you.

Warm Regards,
