CAP’s inaugural newsletter in October was very well received.  Thank you all for your positive feedback. We are doing the very best we can to provide local support to those fighting Parkinson’s.  Do you know someone who is fighting Parkinson’s?  If so, please have them contact one of our local support groups. Contact information can be found on our website at www.parkinsonsct.org.  If you or a loved one has never attended a CAP support group meeting, we would love to see you there.  I think you will find the meetings very informative, as well as a place to receive compassionate support.

As always, the CAP Board is very focused on our mission.  In 2018, we have some exciting plans that include:

  • Hosting a Wellness expo during Parkinson’s awareness month in April.
  • Participating in and helping to fund novel research at Yale University.
  • Initial planning stages of CAP’s own wellness and resource center.  Our vision is to build a center devoted to helping people manage their Parkinson’s, take charge of their well-being, and embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead.

As my wife, Michelle, was diagnosed almost eleven years ago, I know first-hand the fortitude it takes to fight this disease every day.  If we can help you in any way, please give me a call.

Our bi-annual Gala is fast approaching on Saturday, November 18th at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT.  It is one of our major fundraisers.  I know it will once again prove to be an exciting evening.  It will benefit research programs, clinical trials and wellness programs for people with PD. Please plan on attending or donating at www.parkinsonsct.org/gala.

Warm Regards,
