Texas Medicine Magazine, A Publication of the Texas Medical Association (TMA), sent an Austin photographer today to get a portrait of Coryell Memorial physician, Richard Hurley, MD, pain management specialist. Dr. Hurley is currently serving as the Texas Pain Association President, and leading legislative efforts represent physicians and ensure access to pain care for the people of Texas. Dr. Hurley has spoken with a journalist at TMA regarding current changes for prescription narcotics that are coming through clinical practice guidelines and laws limiting the amount of drugs that can be prescribed.  

Texas Medicine is available to TMA members and presents timely information on public health, medicolegal issues, medical economics, science, medical education, and legislative affairs affecting Texas physicians and their patients.
