Volunteering at a senior living facility provides the unique opportunity to connect with your community and truly make a difference in the lives of others. While many people volunteer to bolster their college or career applications, they often find purpose and meaning in these special visits. Meadowbrook Care Center, who has served the Cincinnati, OH, community for nearly 40 years, is just one option for those looking to visit these facilities.

At Meadowbrook Care Center, the compassionate staff is always looking for volunteers to help spread joy and fun. No matter their age or experience level, the team welcomes everyone to join the spirited community.

senior-livingYou may be asked to help out at events, offer a hand with activities, or simply spend quality time with the seniors. Recently, volunteers assisted during the senior living facility’s holiday party. Complete with Santa, elves, music, and delicious food, the event was even more special with the help of these helpers. From spooning punch to playing games with residents, volunteers can take on a variety of tasks that suit their unique comfort levels.

Each week, residents engage in a range of activities like yoga, manicures, bingo, cultural cooking, trivia, arts and crafts, and casino night. If you have a special area of interest—for example, maybe you love to paint—the friendly staff from the assisted living facility invites you to partake in activities that speak to these preferences. Ultimately, the team hopes to find volunteers to place at the center where they can help people and enjoy the process of doing so.
