Why am I getting an 'A' on iPhone® iOS® 11 When I Type 'i'?

Go to: Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Shortcuts. Then, under the "phrase" column, add the uppercase "I." In the "shortcut" column, add the lowercase "i."
