EVENT

Event Information

In 2003, a small coffee shop with a new and innovative brewing method opened in New York City. They had a radical new idea – they would serve only Fair Trade, organic, shade-grown coffee.  The idea was pioneered by Jack Mazzola, founder of Jack’s Stir Brew, which has since grown from that first shop on 10th Street in the West Village to a small empire of seven locations. The eighth location is set to open today, Friday August 18th in Tribeca at 139 Reade Street. To celebrate the expansion, Jack’s will be treating guests of the new shop to a complimentary cup of their famous Stir Brew coffee.

“Community is what it’s all about for me. Creating warm and memorable guest experiences around amazing coffee has always been our mission and something we take great pride in. Our Reade Street store is extra special to me because I live in this neighborhood,” said Mazzola.

Also known for its extensive menu of vegan baked goods, the shop will be handing out apple cider donuts to visitors and introducing a number of handcrafted drinks to their menu.

Named for Mazzola’s unique patented “Stir Brew” method, where the grounds are constantly stirred to ensure perfectly even brewing while oxygenating to reduce acidity, Jack’s Stir Brew serves thousands of customers per week from their locations throughout New York City and the Hamptons.  In operation since 2003, Jack’s has earned numerous media accolades, including being named the Best Cup of Coffee by New York Magazine, the Top Cup of Coffee in the Country by AOL Digital City, the Best Indie Coffeehouse by Time Out New York and one of the Best in the U.S. by Food & Wine Magazine.

Don’t miss this opportunity to try some of the best coffee NYC has to offer and go visit Jack’s new spot on Reade Street. They’ll be offering up a complimentary cup of Stir Brew coffee and samples of apple cider donuts from 7:00am to 6:00pm. See you there.
