People v. S. C. (Farmington Tn. Ct., 8/8/16)

          Faced with a situation where his client was being re-prosecuted on DWI charges that had previously been dismissed due to legal deficiencies in the charging documents, Mr. Corletta did not back down. Instead he pointed out similar defects and mistakes made a second time, and again prevented a license suspension, in People v. S.C. (Farmington Tn. Ct., 8/8/16).

          Amazingly, one of the things the government did was use the previously dismissed charging documents, which were legally sealed upon dismissal, to support the new charges, instead of filing new ones.

          Once again, Mr. Corletta, thinking quickly in open Court upon seeing the new charges for the first time, prevented a license suspension by successfully arguing that the sealed documents could not be reused.
